About our basingstoke canal narrowboat holidays and short

Rowing boat with a motor. we went with our daughter and her children, aged 9 and 7, in a rowing boat in which was fitted a small electric motor. we had two hours on the basingstoke canal, very lucky with the weather, and we went down to king john's castle and back.. The boat meanders along the basingstoke canal at about walking pace so you get a lot of countryside to view. the crew are jolly, informative, provide literature re. the history of the canal & local area. refreshments on offer.. We need crews for the various boats along the canal, including the society’s 50 passenger trip boat john pinkerton ii at odiham in hampshire (right), and the smaller kitty trip boat at woking. there is also a need for boat maintenance crews during the off-season. see the john pinkerton website to find out more..
